College U.S. History

Students can earn both high school and college credit at the same time by paying the college tuition (approximately $213) to Highland Community College. This class will cover the period from the early explorers to modern times. There will be an emphasis placed on those events which shaped our national character. Class presentations will include a mixture of lecture, class discussion, videos and group work. A major term paper will also be included second semester. Grades will be based upon a variety of sources to include: Essay and short answer tests, test bank questions, class participation and the term paper.
