College English II
Students can earn both high school and college credit at the same time by paying the college tuition (approximately $213.00) to Highland Community College. The purpose of this course is to continue instruction and practice in the principles of written composition and critical thinking that was begun in ENG 101. Emphasis will continue to be on improving the student's ability to organize and express thoughts in clear, effective writing and critical analysis skills. Students will practice a meaningful participation in class discussion, read and write about books and continue to read and write about selected works in the British canon. Quizzes and tests should be expected but are not the focus of the class.
