Entrepreneurship

The student will explore characteristics and resources needed to profitably start and run a small business. Instructions will cover the concepts of entrepreneurship and the importance of small business within our free entrepreneurship and the importance of small business within our free enterprise system. Students will learn the basics of planning, organizing, financing, starting, operating, and managing a small business venture. Students will establish and operate a small business in which they will turn a profit and use those profits to visit a larger city, i.e. Chicago, and see the city as other business people see it. Tours of the Chicago Board of Trade, as well as other major attractions in Chicago will be taken.
